The rules of origin have been updated with EU regulation no. 1934/2021 to implement the entry into force of the 2022 harmonized system.
Better define some products and establish the residual rules to be applied in case of minimal or economically unjustified processing. Furthermore, from 2022 the country of origin of the goods will have to be included in the INTRA-1 models for intra-community sales of goods. The combination of these innovations considerably broadens the number of operators who have to deal with the issue of the origin of goods: not only those who operate on non-EU markets, but also those who operate within the Community. The rules of non-preferential origin are therefore fundamental for the declaration of goods to customs, for the determination of the labeling of origin or Made in and now also for the presentation of INTRA-1 lists.
